MORE INFORMATION

The CHyPS project, which stands for Clean Hydrogen Propulsion for Ships, aims to pave the way towards a full-fledged numerical toolbox, simulating various components of a ship propulsion system powered by clean fuels such as (liquid) hydrogen, e-methane or methanol.

This project therefore focuses on the development of high-quality 3D numerical models for a number of critical components for which no adequate simulation models are currently available, such as the fuel tank for clean cryogenic fuels and the combustion engine that runs on these fuels.
